You'll also need to recognize hyperlinks. A link is a doorway that takes you out of what you're currently viewing and on to something else. The entire Web is strung together by hyperlinks, hops from one page to another. To "make a link," all you need to do is click on it with your mouse. To back up and return to the page you hopped from, simply click the Back button at the upper left of this window. Links are usually differently colored, underlined text. This is a hyperlink to the official Whitehouse page: Links may also be pictures, but not all pictures are links. One of the flags below is a link the other is not. As you pass your mouse over a link (textual or graphical), it changes into a hand with a pointing finger. When you pass your mouse over a plain illustration, the mouse cursor doesn't change.
